Being a makeup artist for years, I’ve seen various eyeliners from local brands in the Philippines. Of all the ones I’ve tried, Happy Skin’s Eye Am Here to Stay 24H Gel Eyeliner has really “caught my eyes.” Today, let’s see what this beauty product has in store for us.

When you walk to the beauty products aisle, it’s impossible to miss Happy Skin’s Eye Am Here to Stay 24H Gel Eyeliner (at least for me). It’s because the packaging is a cute combination of pink and green, my favorites! Box aside, the pencil itself is made of plastic which doesn’t snap easily.

Ease of Application: 4/5


Although the gel eyeliner glides smoothly, it takes more than once to achieve the color I was looking for. However, I really like how accurate the tip is. Also, it has a handy sharpener at the bottom in case you need the tip sharper.

If you want to use it as eyeshadow base, you have about 30 seconds before the eyeliner sets.

Happy Skin’s gel eyeliner consists of three cool shades perfect for your look. The most notable of these is the Peppermint because it’s not every day that you get to see mint. At first I was skeptical, but when I tried it, I was surprised how it gave a beautiful sparkle in my eyes.

The Perfect Black and Chic Brown are also good options to wear both during day and night.

Staying Power: 5/5


Staying true to its name, the Eye Am Here to Stay 24H Gel Eyeliner really did stay for over a day. One time I forgot to wipe it off, and I was surprised to see it’s still there the morning I woke up. Since this product really stays, it’s perfect for humid countries like the Philippines, a great solution for the smudging horrors that all makeup artists share.

Aside from that, it is best suited for heavy workouts as it is budge-free. However, the only downside is that it can be hard to pull off a smoky-eye look once the eyeliner starts to settle.

For a quality product like this, the price is justifiable enough. I personally wouldn’t mind to spend for products that I’m getting the full worth of what I paid for.
